John Schofield Acoustic Guitar Youtube

Many guitar enthusiasts will know John Schofield from his electric jazz and jazz rock excursions since the 1970′s.  I was fortunate enough to see John play duets  in a great setting with another guitar player called Steve Erquiaga some years ago.  For me there is nothing better than two guitars together, apart from one maybe one really nice solo guitarist.  John Schofield is known for his trademark Roland Chorusy sound which hundreds of guitar players have copied.

What I’ve located and posted here is John playing an acoustic solo piece, the tune is called My Ideal.  It’s nice to hear players who are known for their electric playing play an an acoustic guitar.  It’s always a good way of hearing what’s ‘inside’ them.  There was a very good guitar trio album available some years back with Larry Coryell and Joe Beck called Tributaries.
