Erik Mongrain Youtube – Acoustic Guitar Tapping

A youtube guitar video by Eric Mongrain. A number of guitar players have alerted me about an acoustic guitar player by the name of Erik Mongrain. Check him out, see what you think. He plays with the guitar laying on his lap like a lap steel slide guita’r. He uses a lot of hammer on and tapping techniques in a similar manner to Andy McKee and Thomas Leeb, but his style is a little different. Although it may seem like guitar acrobatics to look at he still manages to keep it musical. He is continuing in the tradition of the great late Michael Hedges.
